Bites of Poetry: Savor These Food-Inspired Verses
One thing you may not know about me is that I am a watercolor artist and photographer. I love to paint desserts. There is something about challenging myself to make the best, most realistic dessert that I can.
When I write poetry, I try to weave my love of desserts into a sensory experience that is not just with my paintings or photography but also through words. It's a challenge to find a way to make a dessert exciting to read, but that's part of the fun!
As my go-to rule, I do my best to incorporate all five senses when writing a dessert poem to make it a culinary experience!
Below is a curated selection of some of my food and dessert poems.
The Temptation of a Banana Split
Joyful Chocolate Afternoon
I hope these poems have whisked you away into a world of sweet sensations, where words melt on the tongue like chocolate and linger like the aroma of freshly baked pastries. Whether it’s the crunch, the swirl, or the burst of flavor, I strive to bring every bite to life. Thank you for savoring this collection—may it inspire your own delicious daydreams!
